Sad and Happy Months Away

I lost my sister last month and I would like to show you her boys patiently watching her play with my daughter's dolls.
She had three boys one of them is sitting in them is sitting in the middle -- the blond cutie !
The other picture is one where she is seated under the famous portrait of Franklin D. Roosevelt, (Mom & Dad's). Notice she has the doll on her lap and was curling her hair.
She always wanted a little girl, but those boys were loved so much. All grown up, now! They had a lovely mother and I am sure they miss her very much. She had great faith and I am so sure she is in a better place.
Posting these pictures makes me feel better and remember she was loved by her family very much.

Also, we have had our usual snowfalls. Although, perhaps those of you in the South outdid us in the snow department. I can't imagine having to deal with it all without plows, etc.
Well, spring is on its way now, and everyone is eager to get out, take pictures and enjoy the sun.

Here are some pretty colors that remind me of spring.

What's with the Baskets?

A while ago I had a blog. Somehow I lost quite a few of my pictures, and decided it would be easier to start a new blog than search for the lost pictures. I'll just wing it this time.

My baskets contain remains of scrapbooking and stamping materials. I so enjoyed my hobbies, but I seem to have acquired a few new ones.
I had been doing quite a bit of embroidery and sewing, so I went out and bought myself a new sewing machine. Also, I have always enjoyed taking pictures with my small camera and have quite a collection now. Just a lot of fun.
My baskets I can't do without. I love the fact I can store things in them, decorate with them, and just plain love being surrounded by them.
Here's to my second time around........
